Wake Up To Our Why!
Sighing I lay when many don’t care
Hurt and bled when They don’t dare,
To reply with reason to a few like me,
To those who think for our future sea!
A few of my age do understand
That a bounty must we pay for our dirty hand
Reaping in return a mournful land ….
Polluted, Exhausted! River or Sand!
They have the power to rightly implement,
Amendments for our benefit and consent,
Should strive to avoid the oblivion state
Affecting Me and Them and Our progeny abate (d).
We All do recognize this day, our need
Need to wake up and follow with a deed.
To this, many give mere blinking eyes,
Followed by a shrug and then closed eyes.
Why don't They Wake up to our Why?
Why don't They stop to Waffle at a lie?
Lie that this Earth will sustain forever long.
Why do They need a Withering gong?
I urge Them to ponder and plan our lands,
The future today is in their powerful hands.
It is never too late to begin afresh,
To sew a torn cloth with a binding mesh.
In these words I ink my desire concealed,
To save my dying Earth unhealed,
I urge my brotherhood, to help me paint,
My dream of a world free from taint.
