I Conquered My Fear

Some day I had to stay alone,
Alone in a house, prone to some moan.
Suddenly the lights went away.
My face, my body had nothing to say:
I stood alone in moan,
I had a pain but no courage to groan.

Dark solitude was mystic,
Horror had gripped my back stick;
My body shivered like a vibrating phone,
I had a pain but no courage to groan.

My mouth was sealed with my own fear.
The everlasting silence was sucking me, Oh! Dear!
I was caged frightened in a house : my own,
I had a pain but no courage to groan.

But then I saw a glimmer of light
Shining bright through the roof height.
To my joy it pointed to a household zone,
I had a pain, generating courage to groan.

I tried and went straight to the enlightened box.
To my surprise I got a match box,
With a click of a stick I conquered my fear:
The bright light from the moon, made it clear-
A silver lining in a dark cloud, is capable alone,
To kill my pain, no need for a groan.
